A model poses with a sleek Lexus at the Exhibition

The 2008 Dalian International Automotive Industry Exhibition began Thursday in Dalian of Northeast China's Liaoning Province.

The five-day expo will attract more than 400 auto manufacturers and dealers from home and abroad, such as Mercedes Benz, BMW and Lexus.

Domestic manufacturers such as FAW and Saicgroup will also present their new products at the exhibition.
