Sugar daddy reneges on agreed parting fee

Jinchengjiang District People's Court in Hechi, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has overturned the lawsuit filed by a local woman surnamed Ye regarding her lover's non-payment of a 500,000 yuan ($72,000) "break up fee."

Ye met Lu, a well-to-do middle-aged businessman, and became his mistress years ago.

Upon his wife finding out about their liaison Lu chose to return to her. He paid Ye an amount of 8,000 yuan this January and left, but not before writing, under duress, an IOU .

When Lu failed to honor the IOU early this year Ye went to court .

The court pronounced the IOU invalid.
