Woman swallows engagement ring

A man surnamed Chen's marriage proposal to his girlfriend didn't go as planned.

The policeman from Fujian province had hid an engagement ring in a cake. His unsuspecting girlfriend swallowed the ring, then fainted.

She was rushed to a hospital, where doctors extracted the ring. After recovering she accepted the marriage proposal.
