Boat death toll up to 8

The death toll from Saturday's boat collision in Shaanxi province has risen to eight as another body was recovered yesterday afternoon.

Rescuers are still searching for two others reported missing, the provincial publicity department said.

All 14 people on a boat fell into the Hanjiang River on Saturday after it collided with an empty cargo vessel near the village of Shuangping in Ziyang.
