Iraq bombers topple Samarra minarets

Dust obscure the Golden Mosque Shi'ite shrine after insurgents blew up two minarets in Samarra, 100 km (60 miles) north of Baghdad June 13, 2007. Militants blew up two minarets of a revered Shi'ite mosque in the Iraqi city of Samarra on Wednesday, targeting a shrine that had already been badly damaged in a 2006 attack, Shi'ite officials said.
