Storm hit Australia's east coast

Locals watch a helicopter lower salvage equipment to the deck of the 30,000-tonne bulk coal carrier 'Pasha Bulker' which ran aground in wild seas off a beach in Newcastle, north of Sydney. Six people were confirmed dead and another two were missing as wild storms continued to lash Australia's east coast, smashing boats, flooding roads and cutting power to 200,000 homes.[AFP]
