NASA releases 3D images of sun

Reporters wear 3D glasses at a news conference as NASA unveils the first three-dimensional images of the sun made by the Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory (STEREO) at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, April 23, 2007. The agency said that the new view will greatly aid scientists' ability to understand solar physics and thereby improve space weather forecasting. [Reuters]
