Murder suspect caught with water cannon

Chinese policemen carry a murder suspect who is hoshed from a building at a hospital in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning Province, April 3, 2007. The man was suspected of killing his 71-year-old mother-in-law and a 13-year-old nephew March 30, 2007 and a bicycle caretaker April 3,2007. Local police cornered him in a ward on the eighth floor of the hospital after receiving a call from the man's wife. The police asked the firemen to hose him when the suspect refused to surrender after two hours' persuasion. The suspect was not hurt after falling on the airbed. Local press reported the killing spree was caused by a family dispute with his wife.  [newsphoto]
