Fishing boats are blocked by ice in the area of Port au Choix, on the northwest shore of Newfoundland, April 1, 2007. A Canadian Department of Fisheries official reported that the ice blocking some harbors in this area may delay their sealers from participating in the northern Gulf of St. Lawrence seal hunt which is scheduled to commence on April 4.
