Kansas City chemical plant explodes

A huge billowing cloud of smoke shrouds the downtown skyline of Kansas City, Mo.,Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, as a fire burns at a chemical plant in an industrial area of the city. The explosions and fire at the Chem Central plant in the area known as the East Bottoms, just northeast of downtown, billowed smoke that could be seen for miles.[AP]
