Planes collision in Aero Grand Prix

A YAK-55 aerobatic plane crashes into the sea after colliding with another aircraft off Valletta's Marsamxett Harbour during the Aero Grand Prix of Malta September 10, 2006. Swedish aerobatics champion pilot Gabor Varga was killed on Sunday when his stunt plane collided with another aircraft during a race in Malta, organisers said. The other pilot from the National Aero Club, Ireland parachuted to safety. The name of the surviving pilot has not yet been released by authorities. [Reuters]
