British government cat Humphrey dies

The wife of Britain's Prime Minister Cherie Blair

Street cat has died, Downing Street confirmed Sunday March 19 2006. Humphrey,
the cat who shared 10 Downing Street with two British prime ministers, but was
evicted by current resident Tony Blair. The black-and-white stray cat wandered
into Downing Street in 1989 when it was occupied by then-Prime Minister Margaret
Thatcher, and died aged about 18-years at the home of a civil servant who had
adopted him after his eviction from Downing Steet. [AP]
