4. Delicious food

Xinjiang dishes are delicious and attractive to look at. Roasted mutton shashlik has gained popularity all over China. It is the same with roast lamb. Rice and boiled mutton are not only favorite foods for ethnic minorities but also indispensable for celebrating festivals and ceremonies. Other traditional food includes roasted nang (a kind of pasta), steamed buns, stretched noodles, fried oil sangza and milk tea. In addition, fruits such as Turpan grapes and Hami melon are also well-known at home and abroad.
