Comment on “ Stereotyping in any form is harmful” ( China Daily website on April 14)

Benjamin Franklin said, "Search others for their virtues; thyself for thy vices." It's not such a bad thing to have a serious discussion about our own shortcomings, as long as it can help us to improve ourselves. Also, I suggest you check out a musical from a few years back called "Avenue Q", featuring a song called "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist." It'll give you some perspective about how stereotyping is a natural human reaction to many aspects of our lives, but it need not dictate our actions in everyday life.
