After I heard last week that Dongcheng and Chongwen districts were to be merged (as were Xicheng and Xuanwu), I wondered what would be the name of the enlarged district and why Chongwen residents were unhappy with the change.
The Chinese have a huge need to inflate their egos, and an overseas degree is the surest way to achieve that objective.
Many of the observations in the article reveal the extent to which educated Chinese do not understand how the rest of the world works.
Cantonese is one of the biggest heritages of Chinese civilization. I am proud to speak this language with people similar to me.
