Despite disruptions by a few Tibetan separatists and their supporters during the London leg of the Olympic torch relay on Sunday, there will be no change in the itinerary which includes carrying the flame to the highest point on Earth, Games organizers said Monday.

"The torch relay is a grand sporting and cultural event approved by the International Olympic Committee. We want all people around the world to share it with us. We will not change our plans," Wang Hui, director of the BOCOG media and communication department, told a news conference.

She noted "we have met with some disturbance during the relay" but the "smooth progress of the torch relay cannot be stopped and it will definitely be a big success. We strongly condemn the few separatists".

Wang added that only a few journalists will be invited to cover the torch relay on Mount Qomolangma because of the tough terrain.

"We are working on the list," she told a news conference.
