Alain Bernard picks up men's 100m freestyle gold

Alain Bernard of France  won  men's 100m freestyle gold, clocking in  47.21 at the Beijing Olympic Games on Thursday.
 
Eamon Sullivan of Australia settled for the silver with a time of  47.32, while American Jason Lezak got the bronze in 47.67.

In the first semi-final, Bernard reclaimed the world record with 47.20 s.
