BEIJING--Ayumi Tanimoto of Japan won over French woman Lucie Decosse by ippon to take the women's 63kg gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games here on Tuesday.

The bronze medal was shared by Elisabeth Willeboordse of the Netherlands and Im Won Ok of DPR Korea.
