Angola's women's handball team summoned

 

LUANDA -- At least 23 women handball players have been summoned for the Angolan women's national handball team's preparation training program to participate in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in August.

Coach Vivaldo Eduardo told reporters here on Tuesday that the players summoned include Odeth Tavares, Lourena Carlos, Azenaide Carlos, Elizabeth Cailo, Cristina Branco, Teresa Joaquim, Felicidade Sibu, Wuata Dombaxi, Mircera da Cruz, Elizabeth Viegas, Maria Pedro, and Tesesa de Almeida.

Other players are Nair de Almeida, Luisa Kiala, Ilda Bengue, Filomena Trindade, Matilde Andre, Isabel Fernandes, Anastacia Sibu, Bombo Calandula, Natalia Bernardo, Tatiana Cesar and Belina Larissa.

The Angolan women's handball team has held nine titles of the African women's handball championships.
