A choir made up of singers coming from 16 countries, most of them overseas Chinese, made the debut on Friday, expressing their support for the Beijing Olympic Games.

Choir leader Sun Ho said, "I want to say that, as an overseas Chinese, we are very proud of China hosting the Olympics. It doesn't matter what people say, what is important is we believe in ourselves and we can do very well."

Most of the choir members, most of them amateurs, have halted their jobs or studies and came to China for the performance, because they wanted to feel the games.

Choir member Sofyan Wongsodihardjo said, "As overseas Chinese, we feel for Olympics, and we love China and want to show our support."

The debut of Chinese version of the Olympic hymn also kicks off an Olympic tour which will accompany the Olympic flame, aiming to promote and spread Olympic values to all over China.
