Sports career:

Lu started her sports career at age five in her kindergarten of the Hunan provincial sports school. In 1983, the girl began receiving systematic gymnastics training, and later she joined the national team in December 1991.

High Performances:

1992 World Championships - 4th uneven bars
1992 Barcelona Olympic Games - 1st uneven bars (full mark), 2nd balance beam & 4th team
