Sports career:

Took up shooting in Daqing Spare-time Sports School at age 12. Chosen first by the Heilongjiang provincial military zone shooting team and then by the Army's "Ausust 1st" team in 1984. Joined the national team in 1987.

Senior colonel shooter and coach of the Shenyang Military Command, who left the national team in 2003 and has yet to accumulate enough points from a series of national competitions to earn a berth in the 2004 Olympic Games due to her absence from the recent World Cup series.
