BOCOG and the International Softball Federation (ISF) will increase bilateral links to ensure quality medical services and doping control at the softball competitions in the 2008 Olympic Games.

This understanding was reached on Wednesday after a working session between visiting ISF Vice-President and Medical Representative Dr. Fernando Jorgearen and staff of the Medical and Health Division of BOCOG Medical Services Department.

Following BOCOG's briefing on its preparatory work in the area of medical services and doping control for the 2008 Olympic Games, Dr. Jorgearen voiced satisfaction over the progress of the work and praised the organizers of the current women's softball world championship for their efforts in medical services and doping control.

Doctors of the participating teams at the tournament have been satisfied with medical facilities at the medical station, medical personnel's services and their language skills. According to ISF, there have been no complaints about medical services or doping control since the championship was opened on Sunday.
