Updated: 2008-09-06 09:20 An online initiative geared towards the needs of the visually impaired aims to make web surfing and sharing in the Olympic and Paralympic Games accessible for people with visual disabilities. The Information Accessibility Action Program was started by the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF) and BOCOG. With the help of screen-reader software, those with visual impairments can listen to information on the official Games and CDPF websites, which are the country's first batch of accessible websites.
