China boasts two of the world's best women's athletes in taekwondo.

Wu Jingyu in the 49 kg and Chen Zhong in the +67 kg are the biggest medal hopefuls in combat sports at the Games.

If Chen succeeds in her category, she will become the first female athlete to win three gold medals in taekwondo.

Compared with the women, China's men are less favored to win medals. But Liu Xiaobo and Zhu Guo will not waste a golden opportunity to make history in combat sports.
