NY cop helps homeless man
纽约警察为流浪汉送鞋
A photograph of a New York City police officer crouching by a barefooted homeless man to give him a new pair of boots has drawn a deluge of praise after it was posted online (see photo), foreign media reported. Larry DePrimo spotted a shoeless man when he was patrolling in Times Square. He then decided to buy him a pair of boots. He bought the boots from a nearby store after an employee there gave him a 25% discount upon learning they were to be donated to a man in need.
据外媒报道，近日美国纽约市一张"警察送温暖"的照片被传上网络后引来一片好评。照片中，一名警察蹲下身，将新买的靴子递给一个光着脚的流浪汉(见图)。这位名叫拉里·德普利摩的警察在纽约时报广场执勤时看到了这个流浪汉，决定给他买双鞋。在附近的一家商店看好一双靴子后，售货员听说他是要给流浪汉买鞋后，还给他打了7.5折。
