For Tom Cruise, 33 is an unlucky number when it comes to love. All 3 of the Hollywood A-lister's ill-fated marriages have come to an end when his wives were 33, which just happens to be a significant number for the actor's Church of Scientology, nydailynews.com reported.

Cruise then married Nicole Kidman (see photo, M), 23, in 1990, and then separated in 2001, when Kidman was 33. Katie Holmes (see photo, R) , 28, and Cruise wed in 2006. And when word came that Holmes had filed for divorce, those with a sense of Cruise history noted that Holmes was also 33.

Holmes announced that she was filing for divorce from the star due to "irreconcilable differences". Holmes reportedly decided to split with Cruise because she was concerned that the actor would "drag" their daughter Suri in to the Church of Scientology as she gets older, according to TMZ.
