China Daily Distribution Corporation: Bring China to America

       Established in 1981, China Daily is the only national English-language daily newspaper in China.  Headquartered in Beijing, with bureaus in Shanghai and Guangzhou, and a web site (www.chinadaily.com.cn) that projects 6 million hits daily, China Daily is the premier news source for foreign businessmen, diplomats, and academics engaged in China. 

       In the United States, the task of printing, delivering, and promoting China Daily and its product family is handled by the China Daily Distribution Corporation (CDDC).  Established in 1984 in New York City, CDDC has served China Daily readers in the U.S., Canada, and other locations throughout North America for more than two decades.  As part of our effort to continually improve the quality of our readers¡¯ experience, it is our pleasure to announce the release of our latest product, China Daily eClips.

As a daily email newsletter that captures the essence of our paper and our web site, it is our hope that eClips will keep you up to date on events in China, and inform you of breaking news immediately.  For a limited time, we are offering eClips free of charge, and would appreciate your comments and suggestions on how we can best improve them. Feel free to pass them on to friends and colleagues, or have them write to eclips@chinadaily.com.cn to be added to our listserv.  

In addition to eClips, CDDC is also currently in the process of developing a U.S. edition of China Daily.  The new edition, designed specifically for readers in North America, will keep our audience informed of major issues and trends in China¡¯s political, economic, and social arenas; provide Chinese perspectives on world affairs; and feature headline stories and analysis of U.S.-China relations. Ultimately, the U.S. edition will also serve as a platform for launching other product lines that cater to the needs of readers in the business community, the world of academia, and anyone who is interested in exploring the rich culture and history of China.

As China evolves into a pivotal global player, it is more important than ever for the nation to communicate with the outside world, and for the world to be able to understand what¡¯s going on inside China.  For more than 25 years, China Daily has served as the world¡¯s window to China, and for over two decades, CDDC has brought that window to America.  In the years to come, CDDC will continue to serve their readers and improve their services to them.  Keep an eye out for future products.
