The owner of a celebrity-autographed Dodge Ram Wagon is looking for a buyer for his collection, which has hosted five NBA superstars during their China trips.
The 900,000-yuan spacious vehicle produced by DaimlerChrysler was owned five years ago by a chef-turned-businessman in Beijing, who now runs two private clinics in Beijing.
Because the van can host almost any person with remarkable body lengths without being too crowded, public relations firms have hired the van often for commercial tours featuring NBA's big names at the cost of around 10,000 yuan per day.
The seven-seat wagon became the official ride during the trips by NBA last year's Most Valuable Player "King James" LeBron James, "T-Mac" Tracy MaGrady, "Shaq" Shaquille O'neal, All-Star player Chris Paul and Aaron Brooks, a teammate of MaGrady and Chinese superstar Yao Ming with the Houston Rockets.
But Sun Liangui, the owner, said the most valuable part of the vehicle is that each of the stars has signed their names at one corner of the interior in the van, which should be a major attraction for sports fans in Beijing and beyond.
Sun bought the vehicle as a mobile conference room in 2004. The vehicle boasts a foldable bar table, a top-class stereo as well as massage chairs and foldable beds.
The stars can relax themselves in the vehicle, the owner said, but only after chairs close to the door have been removed to make space for the long legs of the men.
