As one of the key agenda items of the China African Week, the first African
Investment Forum and project matchmaking event will take place in Beijing on May
22.
Shi Yongxiang, Director of the Chinese Experts Panel of the
International Manager said it would be the first time for such a specialized
forum on African investment to be held in China. The forum would be attended by
business representatives from Africa, diplomats from African embassies in
Beijing and 200 domestic entrepreneurs.
The forum will reportedly open over
10 booths where African officials stationed in China will present their
investment projects and to network with interested domestic investors. The
projects cover real estate development, mining, agriculture and communications,
including the 3.2-billion-USD housing development project in Cameron.
