A Chinese ink and wash painting exhibition opened in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province, on Jan 22, and will run until Jan 31.
The exhibiting works feature the landscapes of Dongchuan area, located at the confluence of Jinsha River and Xiaojiang River. With an altitude that ranges from 600 meters by the riverside to 4,300 meters atop snowy peaks, the climate is favorable in lower areas, but from above breathtaking views of deep valleys, majestic mountains and zigzagging rivers can be seen.
All the paintings were created by Kou Zihao and Jiang Liping, two painters who had spent three years in Dongchuan to experience the local scenery and culture.
