Eleven industrial enterprises at the Toutunhe Economic and Development Zone in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region have put waste water reuse facilities into use, Weitai News reported on July 7.
The whole working process of the waste water reuse facilities is electrically automated, so that operation and supervision requires only one person. Waste water processed by the facility is used for afforestation irrigation, which saves money for business.
In future the development zone will build a waste water reuse system to provide water for circumjacent enterprises and landscaped areas, said Guo Qingyue, director of the municipal bureau of environmental protection.
