A team led by Urumqi Mayor Iiham Sha Bier paid a visit to one of China Petroleum West Pipeline Company’s gas distribution stations on Jan 24. The group sent warm wishes and blessings to the staff.

Iiham Sha Bier commented that the government has injected 25.8 billion yuan ($4.3 billion) into improving the air quality and living environment in recent years. Fifty-five polluting industrial enterprises have been relocated, and 960 new natural gas plants have been added.

The supply of natural gas reached 2.31 billion cubic meters in 2013, 97.8 percent of which was provided by West Pipeline Company.

Iiham Sha Bier called on the company to constantly work on meeting the city’s winter heating requirements and promoting ecological construction.
