Xinjiang Tianshan Automobile Manufacturing Co, Ltd is a joint-equity enterprise of the Xinjiang Bayi Iron & Steel Group. Relying on the competitive resources of the parent company, Xinjiang Tianshan Automobile Manufacturing avails itself to Xinjiang's preferential policies of and its own production facilities to contribute to the progress of thr Xinjiang auto industry and transportation. Until now, the company has played a crucial role in the regional auto industry and has developed into a key enterprise of heavy-duty vehicle modification and special vehicle manufacturing in the autonomous region.

The company is developed from the predecessor of Xinjiang Tianshan Huanghe Automobile Co, Ltd. Established in 1999 in the Urumqi high-tech development zone, the company has five million yuan of registered capital. The production base is located at No 43 Qingnian Road of Urumqi. The company has 26.8 million yuan in fixed assets, a floor area of 355,000 square meters and 600 production facilities. It has 20 pieces of precision processing equipment, such as large pressure machines and digital control plasma cutting machines, and is overall fit for producing modified vehicles. Advanced CAD in product and process designs are adopted, which creates favorable conditions to better meet user demands and shorten product design and manufacturing cycles. The advanced techniques elevate its adaptability to the market changes. The company has perfect testing and measurement devices to guarantee product quality.

The company has 415 workers, including 69 professional technical workers. Five workers have senior professional titles and 23 workers have intermediate professional titles. Since 1999, the company started to implement the GB/T19000 standard to substantially improve quality management. It has completed ISO9001: (2000) quality system certification and GB/T19001 standard setup, and passed the national automobile compulsive 3C authentication in June 2003. Along with Xinjiang listed as a national resources reserve base, the region will gradually expand the heavy-duty truck market and related industrial chains. The company's products comprise six series which are divided into 60 varieties in the brands of Steyr, Hongyan, Nissan Diesel, Jiefang and Dongfeng, including 9.5-22.5-ton dumpers; 10-50-ton semitrailers; 8-20-ton full trailers; and all sorts of fueling vehicles, fuel tankers, and van transport semi-trailers. In recent years, the company has developed multiple heavy-duty special-purpose semitrailers to facilitate Xinjiang construction. The leading product, a 30-ton semi-trailer, was awarded with the honorary title of quality product in the autonomous region.
