Mutalifu Krim, Karamay's deputy director of publicity, and Qiang Xinyue, deputy dean of Journalism and Communication School at Wuhan University, jointly inaugurated the Karamay Training and Research Center for Journalism and Communication in Karamay on Dec 14, the Karamay Daily reported.

The center will allow both sides to enhance personnel training, communication and subject study. As a provincial key discipline, the journalism course has a post-doctoral working station.

Qiang met with Zhu Hexiang, member of Karamay's Standing Committee, before the inauguration. They exchanged ideas on development and publicity, and agreed to have more cooperation in talent development and subject research in the future.

Qiang noted that he was impressed with Karamay's civilization and modernization.
