Spectacular tai chi competition concludes in Karamay

The 5th Xinjiang Chen's Tai Chi Competition held in Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, ended on Oct 25.

Some 173 contestants in 24 teams from all over Xinjiang took part in the competition. The youngest contestant was eight years old, while the oldest 72.

The tournament was hosted by Xinjiang Chen Style Tai Chi Martial Arts Association. The contestants competed in different categories including individual display, synchronized tai chi show and tai chi sword techniques.

After two days of competition, eight teams were awarded due to their high tai chi skills. The Karamay Petrochemical Corporation team was among them.
