The first community health service work conference of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region was held in Karamay on Oct 12.

Some 140 officials from the National Health and Family Planning Commission and Xinjiang health service institutions participated in the conference.

Zhu Hexiang, a member of the Karamay municipal standing committee, introduced the current situation of Karamay's health service.

"The Karamay city government has strengthened the city’s community health service work through the implementation of a more comprehensive policy system," said Zhu.

There are 11 community health service centers, 26 community medical service stations and two county hospitals in Karamay. The city has recently finished building a community health service information system.
