Wang Junren, general manager of CNPC-AktobeMunaiGas, visited Xinjiang Oilfield Company to discuss oilfield exploitation on Oct 12, the Karamay Daily reported.

Engineers of the Xinjiang Oilfield Company briefed the guests on the technology applications for viscous oil development and exploitation.

CNPC-AktobeMunaiGas is an overseas cooperation program of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and is located at AktobeMunaiGas, Kazakhstan. It has encountered some problems while exploiting oil and hoped to get help and advice from Xinjiang Oilfield Company.

Engineers of the Xinjiang Oilfield Company stepped in and came up with some suggestions to solve the problems.

Wang Junren expressed thanks for the support Karamay has offered to the company in the past 18 years since the establishment of the program. He noted that he specifically came to Karamay for technical support with the aim of expanding cooperation.

Yang Xuewen said the oilfield company would make full use of its talent, technological and geographic advantages to reduce costs while increasing performance and realizing mutual benefits for CNPC-AktobeMunaiGas and Xinjiang Oilfield Company.

Wang also visited the Data Center, the Exploration and Development Institute, and Karamay Engineering Education Base.
