The sub-forum of the 2015 China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Forum opened in the oil city of Karamay on Aug 11. The forum was themed "Governance and Social Development", according to Karamay Daily.

About 60 representatives from enterprises, research institutions and social organizations from China and Pakistan attended the forum to discuss how to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in promoting governance and social development.

Huang Ningning, a senior professional from the legal service industry pointed out the importance of legal construction in the sub-forum. "The construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor should attach importance to the legal system construction," said Huang.

The 2015 China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Forum is co-organized by the People's Government of Xinjiang and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It aims to contribute to and enhance Sino-Pakistani cooperation in the fields of culture, education, medicine, technology and economy.
