Chinese painting and calligraphy exhibition opening in Karamay

There will be a Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Touring Exhibition in in the city of Karamay’s Cultural Creative Park, in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Oct 15-22, offering a wide range of artwork from across the country, with some calligraphy and paintings from famous artists.


There will be more than 300 works of art from six areas --the cities of Tianjin, Beijing, Guangzhou, Taiyuan and Harbin, and Xinjiang-- with 36 artwork from Karamay calligraphers and painters that are expected to stand out.


The exhibition is providing some extraordinary experiences for visitors, especially amateur artists, and has been helping increase regional cooperation in the field of art.


This exhibition is especially important to the city of Karamay because of its interest in preserving and promoting its native traditions, culture, and art which are an important part of urban planning.
