Homemade moon cake wins at Huocheng market

As a well-known brand, Lujia homemade moon cakes are very popular in Huocheng county, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

Moon cakes play an indispensable role in celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival. At this time, many customers come to buy Lujia homemade moon cakes which are made in a traditional way, with different fillings such as five kernels, apricot jam, and Huocheng cranberry sauce.

“We started to make moon cakes 20 years ago,” said Yu Dongmei, the manager of the Lujia homemade moon cakes store. “In order to provide the traditional taste for our customers, we always keep making healthy moon cakes in the traditional way without additives or preservatives.”

Now, Lujia homemade moon cakes are one of the famous local specialties, and Huocheng people give each other Lujia moon cakes as a holiday gift, and some people even send this kind of moon cake to their relatives who are eager to taste the hometown food. As customer Bo Yaling said, “Many of my friends ask me to send them some moon cakes made in Lujia. And the delicious moon cakes are really what we like most during the Mid-Autumn Festival.”
