The program of the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2010 started in Tianjin on September 13th.
This year’s summit focuses on sustainable growth, aiming to tackle issues on how to increase energy efficiency, lower carbon emissions, develop green technology and rebuild basic infrastructure.
It will also provide a systemic overview of economic, industry and technological developments set to reshape business and society for the foreseeable future.
More than 1,000 participants gathered in Tianjin, including leasers of Global Growth Companies that have demonstrated the potential to become major players in the global economy, leaders of established multinationals from the Forum’s Members and Partners, Young Global Leaders, public figures such as heads of government and ministers for energy, science and industry, technology pioneers and scientists, mayors of the world’s fastest growing cities, top publishers and editor-in-chief, columnists and economic editors.
The meeting will last for three days. Premier Wen Jiabao will attend the opening plenary in the evening and deliver a special speech.
