A grand publishing ceremony was held at the Sheraton Tianjin Hotel on September 3 for the series,“Tianjin shows its recent 100 years history of China”.

The series include four books, 100 architectural works, 100 former residences of celebrities, 100 major events and 100 celebrities.

The series, compiled by Tianjin Tourism Bureau, showcases many articles on Tianjin culture and tourism products.

The series are written in Chinese and English with almost a thousand pictures published for the first time.

Feng Jicai, deputy chairman of China Novel Study Society and one of China’s most well-known novelists, who was born in Tianjin in 1942, wrote a preclude for the series and attended the publishing ceremony.

The Vice mayor of the Tianjin municipal government Ren Xuefeng also addressed the ceremony. According him, Tianjin government aims to build the city with the charm of historic culture and scenic spots which shows the recent 100 years history of China.

The publication of the series is also expected to further promote the tourism industry in Tianjin.
