Shandong-Taiwan youth exchange gets going in Tai'an

The 2016 Shandong-Taiwan season of youth exchange got underway at Mount Tai, in Tai'an on July 15, jointly organized by the Shandong Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office, Tai'an Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office and the Mount Tai management committee.

A group of 65 students from Taiwan Ming-Chung Middle School and Dongfang High School of Industry and Commerce attended the launch ceremony, which represents a coming-of-age ritual.

A series of other activities including a trip to Confucius' hometown and a visit to the mouth of the Yellow River as it discharges into the sea will be held in the following days.
