Tai'an to hold event to attract more foreign experts
2016-06-28

An event to attract more talented foreigners to Tai'an in Shandong province will take place from June 28-30, in the hope of boosting the development of the city's modern industries, according to www.tarb.cc.

Some 80 experts from 24 countries including the United States, Italy, France, Belarus and the UK will attend the annual event, which this year sought experts of a higher level than in previous years.

The activity was jointly sponsored by the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs Department of Economic and Technological Experts, the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Shandong Province, and the Tai’an municipal government.

The event aims to establish an interactive platform for local enterprises and foreign experts and introduce foreign talents that are badly needed by the city’s traditional and strategic emerging industries.

The activity is slated to bring innovative high-tech projects to Tai’an.

An official from the department of human resources and social security said that the final list of experts were selected according to what gaps needed to be filled in line with the city's local economic development plan

The official added that the invited experts will bring with them 14 cutting-edge tech projects in areas such as new biological materials for nanotechnology, biocomputing and regenerative medicine, online monitoring systems for atmospheric fine particles and health information management systems.
