Tai'an: GDP hits 71 b yuan in Q1

The economy of Tai'an, Shandong province, ran smoothly during the first quarter, reported the Tai'an Daily.

Its GDP reached 71.37 billion yuan ($10.98 billion), a growth of 6.9 percent over the same period in 2015. The consumer price index rose 2 percent and per capita disposable income rose 7.9 percent.

Tai'an saw its urban registered unemployment rate stand at 2.38 percent, maintained within the target range by provision of 10,900 new jobs.
