In order to prevent against the spread of the novel coronavirus and ensure stable economic growth, enterprises in Tai'an's Daiyue district have been gradually resuming operations, according to the local government.

A total of 222 enterprises had resumed production in Tai'an's Daiyue district by Feb 19, including 97 industrial enterprises above designated size.

In addition, 25 key projects valued at 32.55 billion yuan ($4.59 billion), among which 5.75 billion yuan will be invested in 2020, started operating on Feb 19.

Since the outbreak began, medical supplies have been in short supply. Tai'an Ruyi Technology Fashion, a textile company based in Dawenkou Industrial Park, donated 300 protective medical suits to workers fighting on the frontlines of the novel coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19) in Daiyue district on Feb 14.

Liu Xueting, a worker at Taian Dingxin Cooler Co, said the company has formulated prevention and control plans with the help of the government to better protect the health of its employees and ensure production goes smoothly.
