Feng Fan, a deputy to the National People’s Congress (NPC), surveyed the No 1 and No 2 financial tribunals of Nanchang, East China’s Jiangxi province, on April 23.

Feng said she was deeply impressed with the tribunals’ making full use of information technology to provide such litigation services as online case filing and videoconference-based trials during the period of the epidemic prevention and control, which ensured the healthy and burgeoning development of financial enterprises in Nanchang.

She learned that in 2019, the No 2 Financial Tribunal accepted 10,391 new cases, 10,336 of which or 99.47 percent of the total has been concluded. As a result, it won the title of "advanced collective” among courts nationwide.

Feng spoke highly of the tribunal's effort to improve trial quality and efficiency and to enhance the professional level of its financial trials with the help of information technology.

Feng said she believes that the best business environment is one based on rule of law. She noted that in recent years, the No 1 and No 2 financial tribunals have made remarkable improvements in their financial trials through system innovations and technology, creating a law-based financial environment in Nanchang and effectively maintaining the local financial stability and the safety of state-owned assets.

She said she expects the tribunals to polish their brand of financial trials and contribute more judicial strength to the city’s economy and financial development.
