SXU wins first place at student swimming carnival

The 2019 Shanxi Provincial Student Swimming Championship was held at Shanxi University from Nov 30 to Dec 1, which the organizers said proved to be a complete success.
The carnival, jointly sponsored by the Shanxi Provincial Education Department and the Shanxi Provincial Sports Bureau, attracted the participation of 725 swimmers in 120 teams.
The team from Shanxi University lived up to expectations, winning 24 of the 29 individual events in the university group, ranking first in the overall team score.
SXU has for 17 consecutive years won the first place of the university group.
The SXU team, comprising of 32 players, was led by professor Liu Shengjie, deputy dean of the School of Physical Education and coached by professor Chen Anping and teacher Wang Jingjing.
