SXU students win national maths competition

Three students from Shanxi University triumphed in the finals of the 10 th National Collegiate Maths Competition in Harbin, which ran from March 29 to 31.

Chen Hao, from the School of Mathematical Sciences, won the first prize of the maths major group, while Wang Hao and Liu Seng from the Power Engineering Department of Shanxi University won third prize in the non-maths major group out of 539 entries in the final.

It is the first time that Shanxi University has won the top prize in the maths major group in a national maths contest.
